we heard you’re in search of wonder…
Welcome to our very first FCT Newsletter.
Here you’ll find early access to all good things; Far Corners, updates on our current & new trips, exclusive deals & specials, but more importantly, real stories of our travels and other Far Corner trailblazers.
Let’s kick this newsletter off with an experience as grand as grand can be. A trip I, Jarrod from marketing, am yet to do myself. Let’s dive in!
TIME TO IGNITE THE FIRE AND FREEZE THE DOUBTS.
Far Corners Tours invites you to step beyond the ordinary and into the extraordinary.
The Antarctica Ultra is a blend of adventure, endurance, and discovery on the world’s last frontier.
Over 11 days, you’ll journey aboard the RMS St Helena. With landing sites such as the South Shetland Islands, Weddell Sea, and the Antarctic Peninsula.
For those of you running, expect the possibility of tackling courses on Petrel Base, King George Island, and the volcanic landscapes of Deception Island.
You’ll find yourself immersed in an unforgettable environment, a story to tell those at home forever. Vast glaciers, sculpted icebergs, and snow-covered peaks rising from the sea. Every day will give you the chance to step ashore and experience just how incredible and raw the White Continent can be.
“Setting foot in Antarctica was like stepping onto another planet – untouched, immense, and profoundly moving.” – Claire, Terra Nova adventurer
Don’t miss your chance to tackle The Iceberg.
We can’t wait to see you AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD!
Quick Tips:
3 tips for booking cheap flights
We all love a good deal and none come better than scoring super cheap airfares. Our founder, Alex has pulled together three of his best tips for securing your dream holiday for next to nothing.
1. Search across multiple search engines: Kiwi.com, Skyscanner, Aunt Betty and Google Flights. No one resource will always have the cheapest flights but between these 4, I’d say 99% of the time you’ll get the best deal.
2. Be flexible with dates and arrival/departure locations. By allowing a day either side of your preferred date, you could save half the cost of your flight. Functions like ‘to Anywhere’ on Skyscanner or ‘+250km’ radius on Kiwi.com allow you to scout locations near your origin or destination airport with much lower costs.
3. Pack light. Always a good tip but this time it lets you catch connecting flights (E.g Kiwi.com’s ‘self-transfer hack’) with separate airlines to keep the costs low that wouldn’t be possible with checked baggage.

Far Corners Trailblazer:
Jules
Passing on our travel stories is a practice we cherish at Far Corners.
Hear from one of our Trailblazers, Jules.
“Travelling to Afghanistan as a woman felt like stepping into two worlds at once—one of resilience and quiet defiance, and another of deep, unyielding restriction. I was acutely aware of the privilege I carried: the freedom to cross borders, speak my mind, and return to a life of choice.
- Jules
“Afghan women cannot simply leave. Their fight is daily, without the safety of an escape through the Pakistan border. That truth sat heavily in my chest.
Yet, being there felt meaningful. In the family section of restaurants, a private space where headscarves could come off and conversation flowed freely, I sat with Afghan women, sharing stories, well, maybe even gossiping. I’d be asked the familiar question via Google Translate: “Do you have a husband?” We spoke about life under Taliban rule and their hopes for the future.
Travelling as a woman in Afghanistan opened doors closed to most men. While lost walking through a neighbourhood of Kabul, I was invited into a home. We were ten women; they styled my hair, and we danced and laughed. I felt we connected not through politics or tragedy, but as women.
I left with the bittersweet knowledge that I could walk away, but they could not.
Yet, I know my presence whispered what words could not: that another life is possible.”

OUR NEXT EPIC ULTRA:
ALBANIA!
FAR CORNERS CREW:
DANI
HEAD OF CREATIVE
Hey crew, Dani here!
Or I should say Tungjatjeta, ("toon-jah-TYEH-tah,") which literally means ‘have a long life’ in Albanian.
Currently perched at a cafe by the river in Berat’s old town, enjoying the biggest crepe I’ve ever had the pleasure of inhaling and some freshly squeezed orange juice for 6 euros… It’s a sad day as I am to leave Albania after the most incredible week trialling out our tour with V.A.T.O (Visit Albania Tour Operator).
From cruising Shala river to hiking the mountains of Theth and the Valleys of Valbone to plunging into the almost luminescent pools of Blue Eye and finally drinking sweet wine and raki in the 2,400-year-old city of Berat, (also known as “the city of one over one windows”), it’s fair to say this country has exceeded my expectations and I’ve barely scratched the surface…
I won’t spoil it all for you, but I have no doubt in my mind this tour will be a crowd favourite. The perfect cocktail of adventure, history and hospitality. September 2026 cannot come soon enough, I am fizzing to bring fellow explorers here to experience the untouched nature and wonderful people that Albania has to offer.
